Richard Auerbach, MD
Dr. Auerbach received an undergraduate degree at Tufts University & medical school and residency training at the University of Connecticut and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
He is board certified in pediatrics (American Board of Pediatrics and National Board of Physicians and Surgeons) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is an associate professor of pediatrics at the Universities of Vermont & Connecticut Schools of Medicine.
He moved to Newtown in 2001 with his wife & two sons, having practiced pediatrics since 1998.
All our pediatricians and allied healthcare providers are board certified in their respective fields. Drs. Auerbach, Langsam, Arena, and Soriano are board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Auerbach is additionally certified by the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons. Allene Troy is board certified by the American Board of Physician Assistants. She is also certified by the IBCLC as a lactation consultant. Kristen Grabarz is board certified by the American Board of Nurse Practitioners.
All our providers are members or Fellows of their respective Societies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Pediatric Physician Assistants, and the American Academy of Family Nurse Practitioners. Kristen Grabarz, APRN
Kristen Grabarz received her LP nursing degree at Naugatuck Community College and her bachelor’s and RN degree at Western Connecticut State University.
While working with us as a nurse and office manager, she studied and completed her APRN degree at Quinnipiac University, receiving honors commendations and faculty awards.
She is board certified by the American Board of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the American Academy of Family Nurse Practitioners.
With us since 2013, she lives in Woodbury with her husband and three sons.

Stacey Langsam, DO
Dr. Langsam received an undergraduate degree at the University of Delaware & a medical degree at Lake Eerie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency training at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
She is board certified in pediatrics (American Board of Pediatrics) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Having practiced in New Haven county since 2007, she currently resides in Southbury with her husband and three children.

Our Administrative and Clinical Staff
Our front office and nursing staff are the heart and soul of our office. Though some are new and others having long-tenure, we anticipate that our current staff will be with us for many years to come. Though not all pictured here, we hope you get to know and appreciate all of them as much as we do.
Vanessa is a full time member of our front office. She is the mother of two.
Maryam, LPN is one of our full time nurses. She is a welcomed member to our family.
Megan, LPN is one of our newest members of our nursing staff. She is the mother of one; two, if you include her horse Chick.
Jovanna, MA is a mother of one (and former patient) and became our Front Office Supervisor in 2017.
Tara, RN (not pictured) is training to be a pediatric emergency APRN; working for us part time as a nurse.
Kassidy, RN is a valued member of our team; becoming our Clinical Nurse Supervisor in 2023.
Gillian, LPN (not pictured) is one of the newest members of our nursing staff and a mother of one.
Katherine, MA is a mother of one and provides both clinical and administrative support.
Chelsea (not pictured) is our newest front office assistant, joining us in March of 2025.
